Benjamin Arbour is a Toronto based artist who uses a stylized aesthetic to explore and create new scenarios. His imagery often takes forms of dark scenes and characters that are meant to confuse, amuse and disgust the viewer. His own life experiences are the inspiration for his works, which for him are both a cathartic release as well as an ongoing self-reflective narrative. His work is about the potential of things; suggestive narratives within the images, relationships between anthropomorphic characters, and a dystopian almost comedic representation of a subjective world.
